How to watch the 2019 Grammys online

If you want to watch this show on official sites, you will need to access the CBS All Access and the CBS All Access App. It works with almost all devices and the App is available for Android, iOS, Amazon, Roku, and Kindle Fire. You will have to subscribe to access the CBS All Access and pay the monthly subscription fee. However, it also offers a free trial for a week, so if you only plan to watch the entire ceremony online, you will need to sign up 5-6 days prior to the date. Remember to cancel the subscription within the trial period, or they will automatically charge your credit card. You will also need to input your billing information when you sign up, so make sure the subtotal amount on the screen is $0.00.

You can use your CBS account for a mobile phone or other compatible devices by downloading the apps. Just go to the official apps store on your device and you can download it for free. Once you have downloaded the App, you can log in using your account as usual. Besides airing the 2019 Grammys live, CBS all access also allows you to stream the local CBS television station on your area as well as the library of CBS shows. Therefore if you are interested in the channel, just go with their monthly payment plan which you can get starting from $5.99 per month.

In case you do not want to use the CBS All Access at all, there are several other online platforms that you can choose to live stream the 2019 Grammy. However, if you live outside the area of its participating media market, you will only get limited access to CBS. Most likely it only allows you to watch the shows that already aired. Therefore it is very important to make sure that the streaming service that you choose offers an unlimited access to CBS in your area before you sign up.

Some of the streaming service that already became official media partner with CBS are including YouTube TV, DirecTV Now, Playstation Hue, and Hulu with Live TV. In case your area is not included on the list, there are also several unofficial streaming services that provides the Grammys 2019 live show, such as Kodi and Ace Stream. Still, you need to remember that this kind of streaming service rely on other viewers to stream the ceremony, therefore the audio and video quality is not as good as the one from official media partner.

Grammys 2019 Predictions: Who Will the Nominees Be?

November 17, 2018 by Robert Clark Leave a Comment

It is still fresh in our memory the grandeur and the drama of Grammy 2018 ceremony. While the performances were awesome, people still raise their brow on the fact that the ceremony and nomination were heavy on the male artist. So much controversy birthed on the ceremony until the led Academy Chairman, Neil Portnow said his infamous comment about the female artists which ended with his resignation from the committee this year. And now, we are preparing -possibly- for a bigger drama of The Grammy Award 2019, where allegedly seems more interesting. It begins with the announcement that the four main categories are expanded from five nominees to eight, which sparks hope about greater nominees diversity. While the official announcement of the main nominees will be out on 5th December, here are some predictions of the artists that will shine brighter than the star on the fabulous award night.

Grammys 2019 Predictions

Drake

We cannot deny that Drake popularity went skyrocket in 2018. His fifth studio release “Scorpion has dominated the chart thoroughly internationally. With first-week sales of 732,000 and a record 132.45 million Spotify streams, the album easily overshadowing any release this year, either solo or group singers. Its three No. 1 singles (“God’s Plan,” “Nice for What,” and “In My Feelings”) led the Hot 100 for a combined 29 weeks, and soon after, 22 of its tracks entered the Hot 100, joining five already-charting Drake songs. The album itself is a masterpiece that combines every hip-hop moods with wide influence from electro-rap, R&B, and contemplative love songs.

Cardi B

Although she is not eligible at the Best New Artist Category, Cardy B still going strong with her album “Bodak Yellow”. The singles “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It” made her the first female rapper that topped Hot 100 chart more than once. She already got a recognition last year by being nominated on two categories at once. We will see how the Academy favors her performance this year as a great contender for Album of the Year

Post Malone

It is such a pity that Post Malone is ineligible as well as the Best New Artist contender just because he is too successful this year. However, it is only making him one of the best contender on Song of the Year category, with his single “Rockstar”. This song shook 2018 music chart by topping the Billboard Hot 100 for a whopping eight weeks and breaking Spotify’s record for the longest run at No. 1 on the streamer’s global charts.

Sam Smith

Deemed as the male Adele, Sam Smith has a big chance to bring home the golden gramophone that night with his song “Too Good at Goodbyes”. The album “The Thrill of It All” effortlessly reached the Top 200 summit and the hit song stayed on the top 5 single for few consecutive weeks. He might repeat his success in 2015 that brought him Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year in 2015. We all agree that his popularity is not fading with one and only album after seeing his performance this year.

Childish Gambino

One strong contender for Record of the Year nomination is arguably Childish Gambino with his controversial song “This is America”. Released in the middle of his polymathic turn on “Saturday Night Live” in May, the song and its video got a lot of baggage that still make people contemplating about it until now. There is no question the “This is America” become the IT song of 2018 with its impact and drama. This song is perhaps can be said as the most important son of this year and if the Academy is trying to make a statement about diversity and relevance, we will not surprise if he could bring home the Golden Gramophone on the 2019 Grammy Awards
